St Michael's Mount - Photography Week 33 (2016)

Having originally set out to find Chun Quoit, a Bronze Age burial cairn on Penwith Moor, I ended up on the beach at Marazion in fading light. Finding a sheltered spot, on a high tide, I captured these long exposures of St Michael's Mount:

 
 

Earlier in the afternoon, I had abandoned the walk to Chun Quoit in favour of a first visit to Pendeen Lighthouse. The prospect of walking across the moor in gusty and grey conditions did not seem too appealing. Walking down to Pendeen beach provided some shelter from the wind and every now and then there was a glimmer of blue sky and sunlight:
