Otley Chevin - Photography Week 6 (2017)

Completing a pick up from Leeds Bradford airport provided an unexpected opportunity to visit Otley Chevin forest park. The Chevin is the name given to gritstone ridge that overlooks the town of Otley and the Wharfe Valley and is no more than a couple of miles from the airport.

Unfortunately, the weather was not great on the day and being high up there was a very uncomfortable cold wind. To avoid this I decided to walk down into the wooded area where I found some wonderfully coloured, lichen covered, gritstone rocks:
