Southwell Trail - Photography Week 14 (2017)

If spring colour was a little hard to find in Sherwood Forest (see my previous post) it had well and truly sprung into life along the Southwell Trail. In particular, the oilseed crop had bloomed with its intense yellow flowers contrasting nicely with the leafless ash trees and deep blue evening skies.










There was also plenty of blossom lining the path - possibly blackthorn blossom, although it is hard to be sure from the photographs alone:
