Winter on the Southwell Trail - Part 2

Something different for this second set from the winter on the Southwell Trail series. These are a selection of close-up images focussing mainly on the undergrowth and any small amounts of colour I could find during winter:









This final photograph provides some context for some of the images shown above. For most of the year this is a dense green undergrowth. In winter it get stripped back as the greenery dies away leaving a tangle of dried weed. It is an unusual subject but I really like the complex crisscross patterns created by this weed.
